At the new venue of Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow, the sun shone bright for Hurling for Cancer 2023. Stars from the worlds of horseracing, hurling, football, soccer, boxing and more came out in their droves to support this wonderful event for Irish Cancer Society Cancer Research. Hannon Travel was once again backing Jim Bolger’s Stars and as always, it was an honour to support Jim Bolger and Davy Russell as they host this special event, now in its 8th year, a testament to their determination and the communities that back them.
Hurling enthusiasts were treated to a thrilling exhibition of skill, strategy, and team spirit, as some of the finest Irish hurling stars in the country took to the field, many with a host of All Ireland medals to their name. For All Ireland Hurling Winner’s, Limerick, it was an opportunity to showcase their skills and inspire the next generation of All Ireland winners in the crowd…of which there were many!
Adding an extra layer of excitement were all the celebrities that came along to lend their support and help raise even more funds for Irish Cancer Society research, adding to the 1 million EUR raised to date.
Hurling for Cancer is always an epic event in the sporting calendar and this year was no exception – it is truly an honour for Hannon Travel to lend their support to this special event.
